Lead-Free Aprons
Provides protection for patients during intra-oral or panoramic radiography without the weight of lead.
The Lead-Free X-Ray Apron and Panoramic Poncho feature a Xenolite™ NL® alloy sheeting that provides protection equivalent to traditional Lead Aprons, yet weighs up to 30% less. The Lead-Free X-Ray Aprons are more comfortable for the patient (especially children), and are easy to handle. Scotch-Guard™, durable,
non-slip, corduroy backing prevents the apron from slipping on the patient. Installed loops assist with hanging.
For custom order aprons, call for special pricing. All special orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Cleaning and Maintaining the Lead-Free Barrier Protection Apron
Corduroy Back
Remove any gross debris with a spatula and damp towel: take care to not push debris into the fibers. Then, clean the fabric and piping with a spray fabric or upholstery cleaner such as Woolite® Foam cleaner. Follow the instructions on the spray can.
Microfiber Front
Follow the instructions as shown for cleaning the corduroy. Should stains remain visible, select a spray dry-cleaning fluid that dries to a white powder; follow the instruction on the spray can. After the powder is dry and brushed away, wipe the area with a damp towel.
Disinfection
After the apron is clean, wipe the apron with a disinfectant of choice. Avoid the use of sodium hypochlorite or iodophor as they will affect the colorfastness of the apron. Store the apron on the apron hanger for best results.
