Color Selection
First let's start by telling you that there is no right or wrong when it comes to color selection. One color does not belong with a certain procedure so feel free to select the colors you like. The reason you would select different colors for each procedure is so you can easily identify and access the instruments and products you need for that procedure. When all your instruments, tubs and trays are color-coded by the type of procedure you will save an enormous amount of time and energy in your office. Think of it as a procedural filing system! For example, the dentist is doing 3 crown preps that day and since you've color coded crown preps as light blue you can prep for the day by pulling the light blue coded instruments, tubs and trays. It's really as simple as that.
